Francis Ngannou Mourns His 15-Month-Old Son’s Death

Francis Ngannou’s 15-month-old son, Kobe, has died, leaving the fighter devastated.

No news has been given over the cause of death, as the Ngannou family has been left in mourning. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion is also going through a tough period in his fighting career. He has lost two bouts in a row after leaving the UFC to sign with the PFL.

Ngannou has yet to make his PFL debut; he boxed twice instead. He lost a split decision to Tyson Fury, which could have gone his way. Ngannou was knocked out by Anthony Joshua last month in the second round, leaving questions over fighting future. His son’s death is now another obstacle to overcome.

“It’s been a heavy few days, words can’t express the pain we all feel for the Ngannou family during this time. Please keep Francis and his family in your heart, and may this be a reminder of the fragility of life. Say “I love you,” more often, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed,” Ngannou’s coach Eric Nicksick
