Frank Warren Says Tyson Fury’s Next Fight Is A ‘Game Changer’

Tyson Fury’s upcoming fight will be a shock to everyone.

That is according to Frank Warren. Fury has been inactive since his win over Dereck Chisora in December, as the boxing community has become frustrated with the failure to secure an undisputed bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

Even though the Ukrainian accepted a 70-30 split, the deal could not get over the line. While there is still hope that a fight can be made in Saudi, Fury will be looking to get out in the ring.

And by the looks of it, this could be about to happen soon.

“They’ll be an announcement soon, it will be quite interesting, everybody is going to be quite surprised.’ ‘It’s going to be a game changer.

“I’m not going to get into that all we are focusing on his next fight at the moment and depending on what date we announce it he may not be available.

“There may not be a December anyway because Amer [Abdallah], who is the Skills Challenge Head of Boxing, he said they were looking to put whatever they are looking to put together in the first quarter of 2024 anyway,” Warren

This naturally begs the question of who it could be? Warren was coy over it, but there are suggestions that it may be a crossover fight. After all, the ‘Gypsy King’ has been linked with Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones

Such a bout, though, would not be the best preparation for facing Usyk even if it may end up being very lucrative.

Regardless of who the opponent could be, it is vital that Fury keeps winning to keep his hopes alive of an undisputed fight with Usyk.

But given the reaction on social media, this news has not gone down well.
