Frank Warren Agrees With Eddie Hearn on Joshua-Fury Location
Frank Warren agrees with Eddie Hearn when it comes to the preferred location for the heavyweight fight between long-time rivals Tyson Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs).
Hearn recently spoke of an agreement he and Joshua had to fight Fury in the UK. He said everyone outside of himself and Joshua, including Turki Alalshikh and executives at Netflix, wants the bout in New York City.
Warren has since said he would prefer to see the fight staged in its “natural home” at Wembley Stadium in London. He also pointed to “all sorts of complications,” including Sela wanting the event staged in the early hours of the morning to accommodate American television audiences.
“It’s all got to be finalized but … no one knows at this stage what’s done. Everyone’s got to sign off on it, and I think Eddie and AJ categorically said that, as far as they’re concerned, they’ve not signed off on anything yet. So, that’s where we are.”
