Frank Warren Confirms A Big Saudi Boxing Event On Dec 23rd
Frank Warren has promised a huge night of boxing in Saudi Arabia on December 23rd, 2023, which is unlikely to feature Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk.
The two boxers were on course to face each other for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world in December, only for the date to be pushed back after Fury’s fight with Francis Ngannou. Despite getting the win, Fury came through a tough bout, which included getting off the canvas in the third round. Thereafter, a new date has been teased for February, subject to an official announcement. But in the meantime, Warren has promised an action-packed night of boxing.
Frank Warren has confirmed that there will still be another big boxing event on Dec 23rd in Saudi Arabia, despite Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk being pushed back: “It will be massive. Everything's going in the right direction for a historical night of boxing… It's gonna feature…

“There’s gonna be a big night in December, and we’ll be announcing very soon. It will be massive. You’re gonna love it. I can’t give you all the information at the moment, but everything’s going in the right direction for it to be a historic night in boxing. It’s gonna feature boxers from all over the word. You will be surprised by the names. There’s some great British fighters too,” Warren
This naturally begs the question: Who could be on the card? Well, Ngannou has indicated his desire to have another boxing bout. And outside of Fury, there are plenty of names willing to face the MMA fighter. Derek Chisora has expressed his wish to face Ngannou. Meanwhile, Zhilei Zhang could also become a possibility, given his ties to Queensbury. Either way, things are looking bright for Warren and Queensbury.
