Tyson Fury is likely to fight this summer, despite the lack of opponents available.
That is according to Frank Warren. The ‘Gypsy King’ has been linked with fighting Andy Ruiz Jr. and Zhilei Zhang.
The former had reportedly demanded too much financial compensation to reflect the fact that he was a former unified heavyweight champion.
Hearing @FrankWarren has moved on from #AndyRuiz as an opponent for #TysonFury. Financial demands by Ruiz & his brain trust #AlHaymon killed it, keeping up with Haymon's trend of being thee Ultimate Obstructionist, as I had complete confidence in #Haymon stopping this fight.…

Meanwhile, Zhang is obligated to fight Joe Joyce as the latter exercised his rematch clause following the loss.
This does not help Fury’s cause, given that the undisputed heavyweight fight with Oleksandr Usyk broke down.
This was despite the Ukrainian agreeing to a 70-30 split, with many suggesting that Fury was simply making too many demands.
And yet, Warren is keen on seeing his fighter get back in the ring.
“I want to get him [Fury] out whatever happens and get back in the swing of things. It’s just a bloody shame we wasted so much time [on the Usyk fight]. The problem we’ve got is the ones we wanted are all fighting.
“The Zhang fight, Joe Joyce, I wouldn’t have gone with Joe next, he’ll have to get a win first and obviously Daniel. We’ll have a look around and see what’s available.”
“I don’t know yet because we’re getting very close [to summer], that’s part of the problem, but we’ll get him out,” Warren
Nevertheless, boxing fans were not keen on seeing Fury fight an opponent that was not a big name. And this was shown in the social media response.
