Frankie Edgar Speaks On UFC Vegas 18 Loss To Cory Sandhagen

Frankie Edgar has issued a statement on his knockout loss at UFC Vegas 18.

Edgar and Sandhagen shared the Octagon in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 18 on February 6. Edgar was out cold in just 28 seconds after getting caught with a flying knee. This is the third time Edgar has been knocked out in his pro MMA career. In Edgar’s first 28 fights, he was able to avoid being knocked out. He has suffered three knockout or TKO finishes in the last three years.

Edgar took to his Instagram account to speak on the defeat to Sandhagen.

“I’ve licked my wounds long enough, I’m home with my family life is good. On Saturday I was as prepared for a fight as I could have been. Props to Cory Sandhagen he landed a perfectly timed and executed bomb on me, luckily I don’t really remember it much lol. This game can be a cruel [expletive] and Saturday night was just that, but I ain’t panicked I been here before.

The loyalty and unconditional love and guidance you all give me is truly unbelievable I love you all more than you know. With the loss, Edgar has now gone 1-3 in his last four outings. He has been stopped in two of those defeats. “The Answer” sits at 1-1 as a bantamweight.
