Fundora: Spence Isn’t the Same Fighter

Sebastian Fundora says Errol Spence Jr. is not the same fighter.

His comments were in response to Spence’s two car crashes. The Truth suffered a detached retina in one of the crashes. His last fight against Terence Crawford also did not help. He was knocked out in round nine and dropped three times in his defeat. He underwent cataract surgery on his right eye after the Crawford fight.

Bud then moved on to fight Israil Madrimov at 154, which takes place on August 3. Meanwhile, Spence has been linked with a fight with Fundora. After Fundora’s victory against Tim Tszyu, Spence went into the ring. He indicated his desire to fight Fundora. If they do face off, Fundora felt he Spence was now weaker.

“The power still could be there. I seen a couple of videos of him doing mits and all that. It’s just not the same anymore,” Sebastian Fundora said

Nevertheless, Spence could enter into promoting. He promoted Frank Martin for his fight against Gervonta Davis. Tank stopped Martin in round eight. But the build-up gave Spence a taste of what is to come.

“But I like the promoter side. I feel like it might be my calling a little bit, being a promoter and looking at the young guys coming up and helping them get to the top of their level, because that’s where we at right now,” Spence stated
