Sebastian Fundora will put his WBC world title on the line when he faces Keith Thurman in the main event of their upcoming PBC PPV card on October 25th, with the price for North American fans coming in at $74.99 to purchase on Prime Video. For viewers in select territories, the event will also be available on FIGHT SPORTS MAX, visit FIGHTSPORTSMAX.tv for more information.
Thurman (31-1-0) is most recently coming off his victory over Brock Jarvis, who he stopped in the 3rd round back in March, but prior to that bout he had not been seen in the ring since 2022. Meanwhile, Fundora has remained extremely active through the majority of his career, and continues to do so, as seen with the fact that this upcoming match is his 3rd of 2025 after his wins over Chordale Booker and Tim Tszyu.
Due to his lack of activity, many feel that Thurman is undeserving of a shot at Fundora’s world title, including former champion Shawn Porter, who broached the subject on a podcast episode last month.
“Did he really earn a fight against Sebastian Fundora? Has he done [anything]? He’s done one fight [Brock Jarvis], and he’s getting this opportunity to get in the ring with Sebastian Fundora,” said Shawn Porter on his YouTube channel, talking about Thurman not having earned a title shot against Fundora.

Despite Thurman being looked at as someone who should not be sharing the ring with a world champion at the current stage of his career, he is still coming into things with extreme confidence. He stated in an interview last week that he has bad intentions for his opponent, even though he is generally thought of as a considerable underdog in this match.
“It’s not just my one punch, Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman power, but it’s the knowledge of the sport that I know Fundora has not seen. Tim Tszyu does not exude boxing IQ. He’s a tough guy, he’s a rough guy, and you made him stop, you made him quit…I understand you’re feeling yourself right now, Fundora. But like I’ve told the people, oh he’s been stopped before, he’s been rocked before, he’s been dropped before, and when I get my hands on him he’s going to remember what it felt like to be in a bad place, to be in a bad situation.”

Regardless of the highly priced PPV when compared to some of the recent Riyadh Season events, the undercard makes a welcome addition to the excitement, with two more belts on the line. In the co-main event, O’Shaquie Foster will face Stephen Fulton Jr. in a WBC world super featherweight showdown, and preceding that Jesus Ramos Jr. will square off with Shane Mosley Jr. in an Interim WBC world middleweight bout.
