Fury Hints At A 2026 Comeback
Tyson Fury has once again hinted at a comeback for 2026, as The Gypsy King could reverse his retirement.
Fury announced his retirement in January 2025, a decision that followed back-to-back losses to unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. Despite losing the WBC title and his undefeated record to the Ukrainian, Fury remained adamant that he had won both contests and publicly called for a trilogy fight to settle the score. His promoter, Frank Warren, has said the Usyk trilogy is the fight Fury wants the most.
Usyk, however, has stated he wants to face ex-WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder next. The Anthony Joshua fight is another option for Fury, although AJ will face Jake Paul next on December 19. Fury later followed this by saying he would never return to boxing, even if he were offered a £1 billion ($1.3 billion). However, The Gypsy King reversed his retirement in 2022 after beating Dillian Whyte, as he could potentially do so again.
