Fury–Joshua Follow-Up: Dana White Says Venue And TV Deals Are Done
Joshua and Fury have a combined 14 world title fight victories. Joshua has notable wins over Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin, while Fury fought Deontay Wilder three times in one of heavyweight boxing’s biggest recent rivalries.
One of the few major opponents left for either man is each other.
With both fighters continuing to move toward the long-awaited matchup, expectations are growing that the fight will finally take place.
“We’re the ones that have done all the deals for this fight. I did the deal for the venue, that’s why I know where the venue is. We … did the deal for television and we did everything.”
Despite both fighters being British, the location of the fight has remained a major talking point, with the United States emerging as a leading option. Eddie Hearn has continued to push for the fight to be staged in the UK, while others involved have favored New York.
White said the financial side of the event will ultimately determine where it takes place.
“At the end of the day, here’s the truth, you’re going to go where the money is.”
