Fury Reacts To Wilder Vs. Chisora

Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) admitted he was “heartbroken” by what he witnessed during Deontay Wilder’s (45-4-1, 43 KOs) split-decision victory over Derek Chisora (36-14, 23 KOs).

Despite Wilder securing two knockdowns and the win, Fury—who has faced both men in trilogies—believes the bout proved that both are “completely shot to bits.” Fury didn’t hold back on the decline he saw in the ring, particularly from the 40-year-old “Bronze Bomber.”

Fury, who had predicted a knockout win for his friend Chisora, expressed disappointment in the quality of the “sloppy” brawl. Fury admitted the performance made him reflect on his own standing as he prepares to end his retirement this weekend when he faces Arslanbek Makhmudov.

“After watching Deontay and Chisora the other night, it was hard to watch for me. It was sad. Heartbreaking. I’d never seen two men slide as much in my life as them two. I’m thinking, am I f***ing next? Is this me? I said to the boys, if I’m even 10% as bad as those guys in my fight, take me out to the field and shoot me. Put me out to pasture,” Fury said
