Fury Rules Out Fights With Joshua And Wilder

Tyson Fury has no desire to fight either Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder.

Those comments arrived as Fury gets ready to face Francis Ngannou on October 28th, 2023, in what will be a huge crossover event. Ngannou will make his boxing debut, while an undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk broke down before that. Although the fight was close to being made, talks broke down despite Usyk agreeing to a 70-30 split. Therefore, Fury’s latest revelation suggests that the WBC heavyweight champion is keen on leaving the sport soon. Reports indicate that the Ngannou fight will grant Fury $50 million. Meanwhile, at the age of 34, Fury does not have too much time to get the bigger fights. With that being said, this is what the ‘Gypsy King’ had to say.

“He’s [AJ] a bum. I’m sure he’s been beaten three times and spanked as well. Zero possibilities [of Wilder]. I already spanked him three times. In the second two, I knocked his a** out twice..I gave him a hell of a beating three times. He would have to be stupid to want to fight again, that’s for sure,” Fury said

While a fight with Wilder would not make any sense, a Joshua bout would be one of the biggest domestic fights. Therefore, Fury’s reluctance could either be based on his lack of motivation or a case of ducking AJ. Regardless of what the case may be, fans had a lot to say about it.
