Tyson Fury spoke with former UFC fighter and current Showtime analyst while preparing for his December 1st showdown against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
When asked by Schaub about potential opponent and current unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, Fury claimed that Joshua will never stand across from him.
“Joshua’s team will never fight me,” he said to Schaub on his Below The Belt series.
“Because I know you need b***s like King Kong to step in a ring with Tyson Fury and they haven’t got that.
“ [Joshua] seems spirited, doesn’t he?
Fury would then claim that he offered to fight Joshua in the street, and that Joshua feared the “Gypsy King.”
“But when I stood face-to-face with him and asked him if he wanted to take [the fight] outside his a*** started flapping and he s*** himself,” the lineal heavyweight champion claimed.
“I wasn’t in shape, but I’d have taken him outside and kicked him.
“If a man said that to me – I don’t care if I was unfit or not – he’d be outside and punched.
“We’d have to have a fight, but he didn’t want to know.”
