Fury, Usyk, Wilder And Joshua Could Get £150 Million Each – Says Derek Chisora
The potential four-man heavyweight tournament in Saudi Arabia featuring Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Deontay Wilder, and Anthony Joshua could get each fighter £150 million.
That is according to Derek Chisora. There are suggestions that Skills Challenge Entertainment, a sports agency based in Saudi Arabia, wants the mega-blockbuster event set up.
So much so that Eddie Hearn has allegedly had talks in Saudi Arabia to hash out such a deal. It is anticipated that the winner of the undisputed bout would face the winner of Wilder vs. Joshua.
And by the looks of it, there is a lot of money on the line.
“I think each fighter will make about 150 [million pounds],” Chisora
This may explain why the initial talks between a Fury-Usyk fight broke down. After all, Usyk had accepted a 70-30 split in an attempt to make the fight at all costs.
This may also shed further light on why a Fury-Joshua fight didn’t go ahead, as the ‘Gypsy King’ decided to face Chisora instead.
But with the huge amount of sums being bandied about, boxing fans were not convinced by the figures.
