Fury vs. Joshua Update

Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that AJ’s fight vs Tyson Fury is targeted for mid-November, with both the UK and the United States under consideration as potential venues for the all-British heavyweight showdown.

“The UK and America are both in discussions right now. It’ll be down to [the Saudis] where that fight’s held, but we’re being told middle of November. He’s got to get the job done against Prenga first,” Hearn

Wembley Stadium has emerged as the most desirable UK option, a venue where Joshua has previously headlined four pay-per-view events. Fury appeared there once before, stopping Dillian Whyte in round six of their 2022 WBC title fight. However, since the bout is set to be on Neflix, it’s likely the streaming giant would like the fight to air in the U.S, to get a larger national audience.

Both fighters have tune-up bouts ahead of the potential clash. The 36-year-old Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) faces Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on July 25, in first outing since a sixth-round stoppage of Jake Paul in December — a win that followed his fifth-round knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024.

The 37-year-old Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) just announced he will compete in another warm up fight on August 1 against a to be named opponent, following his previous tune-up over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April to get back in the win column, having previously suffered back-to-back decision losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.
