Fury Vs. Ngannou Undercard Announced

The undercard for Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou has been confirmed with a full list of heavyweight fighters.

The pair will square off in the headline event on October 28th, 2023, where Ngannou will make his boxing debut. Although Fury’s WBC title is not on the line, the fight will go on the Gypsy King’s record. Therefore, Ngannou has been presented with a chance to cause an upset, even if he is the massive underdog.

And in order to supplement the event, there are some intriguing match-ups. Fabio Wardley and David Adeleye will square off in a clash between two unbeaten heavyweights in the co-main event. Wardley is in good form, having stopped Michael Coffie in his last fight in April. In contrast, the WBO European champion, Adeleye, stopped Emir Ahmatovic in June.

Elsewhere on the card, Joseph Parker, the former WBO champion, takes on Simon Kean. Parker grabbed the vacant title after beating Andy Ruiz in 2016, only to lose it to Anthony Joshua in 2018. Parker did have a chance to win the WBO interim title, which would have put him in line for a world title shot. However, he was stopped by Joe Joyce. Since then, he has bounced back with wins over Jack Massey and Faiga OpeluKean will be a tough opponent, having only lost one fight with a record of 23-1, with 22 knockouts. That was when he came up short as he lost to Agit Kabayel for the vacant European title.

Meanwhile, Arslanbek Makhmudov faces the highly experienced Agron Smakici in a ten-round heavyweight clash. As for the rest, the 18-year-old rising prospect Moses Itauma will also fight with an opponent yet to be confirmed.
