Tyson Fury will receive an offer to fight Oleksandr Usyk in December for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
That is according to Skill Challenge Entertainment’s Amer Abdallah. The news arrives on the back end of the Saudi promotional company signing Usyk in a co-promotional deal.
The signing raises hopes that a deal with Fury could finally get done after talks over a bout in Wembley, London, broke down despite the Ukrainian agreeing to a 70-30 split.
With that being said, Fury will be presented with an offer.
“The premium offer will be coming soon, it will be based on the market value and demand of the fight. Tyson is frustrated, he wants to fight.
“If he can land something in September or October and then clear himself for December, we would love to make that offer.
“It will be a premium price, we would never insult anybody with the offer…We know going into this that the offer is very fair offer. We would love to work with Tyson and bring him to the Kingdom,” Abdullah
That may be one thing, but Fury’s father, John Fury, has another axe to grind.
The Gypsy King’s father stated that his son would not be fighting Usyk unless the latter apologized for his remarks in placing the blame on Fury for the breakdown in their talks over an April fight.
“There’s only one liar and it’s him and it’s team. He didn’t want the fight. 30 per cent was too much for him. He still stood to make £17million at Wembley.
“It shows how much of a liar and a coward he is when he’s boxing Daniel Dubois for peanuts compared to it. Does that make sense?
“Tyson will fight anybody, anywhere in the world, if the business sense is right. I’ll tell you what’s gonna happen here – until he gets on and makes a proper video explaining what he did, tell the truth, he may never get the fight with Tyson.
“It’s gone past money now with Tyson, it’s gone past everything with us, they are taking the p***,” Fury
