Fury: WWE Picked Me Because I’m More Entertaining

Last year Tyson Fury made his WWE debut for an event in Saudi Arabia, and claims he was chosen over WBC world heavyweight champion and February 22nd opponent, Deontay Wilder.

Fury who has his rematch with Wilder set for the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, claims the WWE picked him over Wilder, even though Wilder fights on FOX Sports property.

“Wrestling is for people with charisma and entertaining powers,” said Fury in a story published by Boxing Scene. “If WWE wanted him, if he was good enough to be a wrestler, they would’ve chosen him. But they chose me. And he’s even with Fox. But they didn’t want him because he sucks. He can’t talk. We already heard him. He’s boring. We wish he would just get to the point [when he speaks] so I can go and have a cup of tea. He’s not entertaining enough. He doesn’t have charisma to be a WWE superstar. That’s the truth.”

“When I knockout Deontay Wilder, I want to go to Wrestlemania in April. I want Brock Lesnar. I’d knock him out, 100 percent,”

A rumored runsheet for the April event in Tampa, Florida has listed Fury as Lesnar’s opponent for the WWE Championship.
