Gable Steveson Joins UFC Heavyweight Division
After finding success in his first three professional MMA outings, Olympic gold medalist and NCAA wrestling champion Gable Steveson has signed with the UFC.
Steveson made his long awaiting MMA debut with the LFA back in 2025, and impressed fans with a first round finish of Braden Peterson. Following his initial victory, the undefeated prospect went on to win his next two straight matches, also by first round knockout. In addition to his MMA appearances, Steveson spent a short time performing with the WWE, and has also made a ‘Dirty Boxing’ appearance with DBX, an organization co-owned by his mentor, former light heavy and heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
On Saturday night, Steveson was in attendance at UFC 327 Ulberg vs. Prochazka alongside Jones when the announcement was made that he has now signed with the leading MMA promotion. It was additionally revealed that the wrestling superstar will make his debut with the company on July 11th as part of international fight week 2026. At this time, no opponent has been announced for the high anticipated occasion.
