Gable Steveson To The UFC? US Gold Medalist Hints To Dana White
After grabbing a gold medal, Gable Steveson hinted on Twitter that he might be looking to step into the octagon.
Steveson is the 21-year-old super heavyweight gold medalist who snatched his Tokyo Olympics victory after two last-second takedowns in the final of the men’s freestyle 125kg tournament last Friday. Many – including WWE legends Triple H and Kurt Angle – reacted to the turnaround win, but Steveson seems to be looking at the UFC and organization president Dana White.

“There’s a lot of possibilities for me with this gold medal,” Steveson told ESPN. “A lot of doors opened after me winning a national title, and now the whole world is open for me to see after this Olympic gold medal.”
White has yet to respond to the hand-wave emoji.
If Steveson were to negotiate with the UFC, his heavyweight division would feature some big names including undisputed champion Francis Ngannou, the undefeated Ciryl Gane, light heavyweight champion Jon Jones – expected to return in 2022 — and former champion Stipe Miocic.
Along with being a gold medal Olympian, Steveson is also a reigning NCAA Division I National Champion and winner of the Dan Hodge Trophy.
