Gable Steveson’s UFC Debut Fight Booked

Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA Division I Heavyweight champion Gable Steveson (3-0) will make his UFC debut at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, facing Elisha Ellison (5-2).

Steveson, 25, arrives in the Octagon off three consecutive stoppages. He knocked out Braden Peterson on his MMA debut, followed that with a 24-second knockout of Kevin Hein, and most recently stopped Hugo Lezama in Mexico in February. He will also compete at RAF 09 on May 30 before stepping into the Octagon for the first time. Ellison made his UFC debut at UFC Perth in September last year, where he was knocked out in under two minutes by heavyweight prospect Brando Pericic, his only UFC loss. Despite that setback, he brings a 100% finish rate into the fight. The odds-makers, though, are expecting Gable to destroy his opponent as he opened up as a massive -2000 favorite.
