Game Of Thrones’ ‘The Mountain’ To Box Former World’s Strongest Man
Fans like to be entertained when watching a combat sport like boxing. The spectacle of it, when done right, can make for some great moments. In 2021 in Las Vegas, things will look to get interesting when two of the world’s strongest men face off one against one another.
Hafthor Bjornsson, known as The Mountain on the HBO show “Game of Thrones”, will fight fellow deadlifter Eddie Hall in a boxing bout. A venue has not been chosen for the fight, but it will be promoted by Core Sports and will be on PPV.
The beef between the two started when Bjornsson called Hall a cheater when he won the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017. Bjornsson then set the world record a few days ago, previously held by Hall, by lifting 1,104 pounds.

Hall stated his concerns on social media, calling him out that it was under conditions outside of a competitive environment. Here is what Hall had to say:
“I genuinely look forward to having my record broken & seeing what is possible. I think you are probably the man to do it, there’s no denying that & I’ll still shake your hand afterwards and say well done… if you do it under the appropriate conditions.”
As of now, no major form of competition has gone on during the coronavirus pandemic. He then called out Bjornsson for a fight. Bjornsson called his bluff and said that Core Sports signed him to a seven-figure contract, and told him to accept the deal for a fight. Hall did sign the deal and posted another message, stating:
“I’ve got a pen here, I’ve got the contract. I’m going to sign right now… I’ll send it off and then there’s no backing out. So, Thor, are you happy? Has your dream come true? You get to go against the guy that bested you at World’s Strongest Man 2017, the man you call a cheat? I hope you’re happy because I’m happy.”
Bjornsson has dabbled in combat sports before, as he sparred with Conor McGregor in 2015.
Who do you have winning a bout between two of the top lifters in the world?
