Garbrandt and Dillashaw Set For UFC 217
A much anticipated fight for UFC’s return to Madison Square Garden has been announced as Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw will finally meet for the bantamweight title.
Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw were originally slated to face off at UFC 213 this past July in Las Vegas. Garbrandt suffered a back injury which forced him out of the anticipated grudge match was put on ice. Though Dillashaw publicly flirted with a drop to flyweight for a fight with Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson for his title, it appears that bantamweight gold will be next on his list.
Soon after this match was announced, Garbrandt vowed on social media that he would “cut the snakes head off in The Garden.”
