Garcia: “Danny Garcia Show” Opens April 20th

On Tuesday, Danny Garcia and Adrian Granados would speak to the press just over a month from their showdown at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

“I’ve been training hard,” Garcia told the press on Tuesday about their April 20th fight. “I’ve seen Granados fight a few times and I know what he can do. I’m excited to be back in Los Angeles, because this is where the stars fight. This is another fight that can get me to where I want to go in my career. ”

Looking to bounce back from his loss to Shawn Porter for the then vacant WBC welterweight title, Garcia knows a win against Granados can push him back into title contention.

“My mentality is that I have to stop Granados. Nobody has stopped him and I have to do that to make a statement. He’s never fought a counter puncher like me and I’m definitely the hardest puncher he’s faced. I’m going to showcase everything to get the stoppage.

“This is another fight for my legacy. There have been a lot of great fights in my career and this is another important one for me. I know he’s coming to fight, but I’m looking to make this one of my easiest wins.

While the former world champion is looking to make it the “Danny Garcia Show,” Adrian Granados, looks to play spoiler.

“This is going to be a great fight. We’re two fighters who bring it,” Granados told reporters in Los Angeles. “I’m coming for a victory in dominating fashion. This is the fight that I’ve wanted for a while now.

“If he’s underestimating me it will definitely be a big mistake on his part. I don’t think he will though. I think he realizes now he’s in for a fight. If he didn’t know me before, he does now. I’m going to give him a piece of my mind April 20.
