Garcia Eyes 135 Unification Or Move to 147
Following a historic victory, where he joined Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez as the only fighters to hold titles in the 126, 130, 135, and 140 pounds, Mikey Garcia may be focused on a fifth.
In his second fight at 140 pounds, Garcia showcased his skills by being the first man to knockdown Sergey Lipinets en-route to a unanimous decision in San Antonio.
And while he holds a title at 140 pounds, Garcia is still the WBC lightweight champion, and may consider dropping back to 135 and unify the division, but also may eye a fifth division to dominated.
“What I love is I have all the options,” Garcia said. “I could go down to 135 to unify titles, which is what I really want to do. And in a couple of fights you’re going to see me at 147.”
