Garcia-Lipinets Nets 689K On Showtime

Following the most successful fight for the network in three years, Mikey Garcia’s win over Sergey Lipinets would fall short of the audience seen the week prior.

Per Nielsen Media Research, Garcia’s victory over Sergey Lipinets drew a peak audience of 689,000 viewers, with an average of 618,000 viewers on March 10th. Significantly down from Garcia’s last fight against Adrien Broner, which peaked at 937,000 viewers with an average of 881,000 viewers in July 2017

The drop from the fight with Broner may be due to Lipinets lack of name recognition on the platform, coupled with ESPN’s main event fight between Oscar Valdez and Scott Quigg airing at the same time.

A week prior, Deontay Wilder’s 10th round knockout victory over Luis Ortiz drew a peak audience of 1.2 million and averaged 1.1 million viewers on March 3rd.
