Garcia Vows To KO Davis, Dismisses Canelo Too-‘I Promise You, Pay Attention’

Ryan Garcia has vowed to knock out Gervonta Davis on April 22nd, 2023 and dismissed Canelo Alvarez’s decision to pick against him.

During his media workout on April 11th, 2023, Garcia appeared to give his game plan away by claiming that Davis would walk into his power shots, suggesting that he would look to counter him.

Davis is known for starting slow, as shown in his fight against Rolly Romero. Despite being on the back foot in the early stages, Davis managed to knock out Romero with a left hook, as the latter was coming.

But with Garcia at the helm, Davis may not have that luxury.

“I’m going to take him out. Nap time for Gervonta….He’s going to walk into one. I’m going to go get him. Nap Time For Gervonta. I’m Going To Take Him Out.

“Gervonta is not going to beat me. I promise you that. He’s going nap time with either the right or the left. It doesn’t matter,” Garcia

One man who has picked against Garcia has been none other than his former stable mate Canelo Alvarez.

The latter did question Garcia’s mentality by claiming that he was not working hard enough during their shared tenure under Eddy Reynoso.

But rather than hold any ill-will towards Canelo, Garcia is looking to prove his critics wrong.

He took the news well and refrained from calling out Canelo’s form, which he could have so easily done, given his comprehensive defeat to Dmitry Bivol.

“Like I said, I have a lot to prove coming into that ring. It’s all part of the show. I just pay attention to me. I know exactly where I’m at right now, and I’m going to shock the world on April 22nd. It’s going to be a great moment for me,” Garcia
