Garcia vs. Redkach Live Results

Danny Garcia is on a mission to reclaim welterweight gold, and he should get that chance so long as he defeats Ivan Redkach in their WBC title eliminator.

The fight headlines a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Garcia, who also held super lightweight gold between 2012 and 2014, won the WBC 147-pound title by defeating Robert Guerrero in January 2016. He, however, lost the title in a narrow decision to then-WBA champion Keith Thurman in March 2017. After a February 2018 win against Brandon Rios, Garcia dropped another title fight decision, this time losing to Shawn Porter in a bout for the then-vacant WBC welterweight title.

Garcia knocked out Adrian Granados in April and was scheduled to challenge current IBF/WBC champion Errol Spence Jr. before Spence suffered injuries in a car accident.

Instead, Garcia will look to maintain top contender status against Redkach, who has won three straight and finished Devon Alexander in June.

The co-feature attraction will see former WBA/IBF super welterweight champion looking to rebound from losing the titles to Julian Williams in May, as he takes on Francisco Santana, who lost to Abel Ramos in March and dropped three of his last four.

Also, Stephen Fulton and Arnold Khegai battle in a WBO super bantamweight title eliminator.
