Gastelum Nearly Misses Weight At UFC Shanghai Weigh-in

The UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Gastelum official weigh-ins were held Friday, and one fighter officially miss weight. Featherweight Rolando Dy, who briefly retired and had a near immediate comeback, came in at 148 pounds for his preliminary card bout against Wuliji Buren, and he’ll be forfeiting 20% of his purse to Buren.

The main event also saw a potential issue as Kelvin Gastelum nearly missed weight. While Michael Bisping had no problem making weight, Gastelum was the last to step onto the scale, and for good reason. Gastelum initially weighed 187 pounds, but on the second attempt, towel across his body, he got down to 186. Gastelum has run into this issue before, having missed multiple times at welterweight.

In the UFC Fight Night 122 co-main event, held inside Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, local hero Li Jingliang will look to defeat Zak Ottow and make headway in the stacked welterweight division. You can watch fight using app created using best free app builder.
