Mousasi last fought in June when he was upset by Johnny Eblen, who won the Bellator Middleweight World Championship at Bellator 282. The loss snapped his four-fight winning streak, which included successful defenses against John Salter and Austin Vanderford.
Edwards has been revving up for a matchup like this after having an active 2022. He defeated Lyoto Machida and Charlie Ward in back-to-back appearances at Bellator 281 and Bellator 287.
Here’s the projected lineup for Bellator Paris:
- Gegard Mousasi vs. Fabian Edwards
- Sidney Outlaw vs. Mansour Barnaoui
- Saul Rogers vs. Davy Gallon
- Thibault Gouti vs. Kane Mousah
