Gennady Golovkin’s next fight has been decided.

Golovkin hasn’t been in action since October 2019. He defeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko via unanimous decision to capture the IBF gold. He also became the IBO Middleweight Champion in the process.
Szeremeta brings with him a perfect pro boxing record of 21-0. He last competed on the same date as Golovkin vs. Derevyanchenko. Szeremeta defeated Oscar Cortes via second-round TKO.
Speculation has run rampant on what a win for Golovkin here could mean in terms of a trilogy bout with Canelo Alvarez. Canelo will challenge Callum Smith for the WBA (Super) Super-Middleweight Title just one week prior to Golovkin’s bout. Of course, a possible trilogy fight between Golovkin and Canelo is speculation at this time.
