George Kambosos Jr. Hints At Joining UFC Soon

Boxing star George Kambosos Jr. is open to the idea of transitioning into a mixed martial artist with the help of UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Kambosos shocked the boxing community two weeks ago when he beat Teofimo Lopez via decision. This earned him the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles.

He has since been linked to big names like Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney.

Kambosos, 28, has revealed that he is in touch with Volkanovski.

The MMA ace rules the featherweight division at the moment. He is coming off a decision victory over top contender, Brian Ortega, that stretched his unbeaten streak in the UFC to 10.

Kambosos believes that training with Volkanovski in the coming days will help both fighters upgrade their skills.

“I’m a very good fan of the UFC. I love the sport, I love combat sport. And I and Alex have a good relationship as well,” Kambosos said.

“He’s been supporting me, I’ve been supporting him, and I said I’m going to come back with all these belts — obviously, he’s the UFC featherweight king and I’m the lightweight king, and we’re going to help each other. And how good would that be?”
