George Kambosos Jr May Be Forced To Fight Vasiliy Lomachenko
Vasiliy Lomachenko might get the redemption he’s been wanting.
Top Rank CEO and Lomachenko’s promoter, Bob Arum, is reportedly pushing the WBO to order three-belt George Kambosos Jr to face Lomachenko.
Devin Haney, the WBC world lightweight champion, is said to be the next man in line for Kambosos, but he would have to act fast.
Haney recently defeated Joseph Diaz via unanimous decision earlier this month. It was his third successful title defense.
Meanwhile, Lomachenko reminded fans that he’s still a force to be reckoned with in the lightweight division. He bested Richard Commey in a unanimous decision win also earlier this month.
Kambosos has been enjoying his time as world champion after he scored a major upset win against Teofimo Lopez on November 27. He is undefeated so far in his professional career.
“I really think the Kambosos people have the best intentions to fight Lomachenko, and Lomachenko would like to fight Kambosos and would LOVE to fight him in Australia. So we’ll see,” Arum said.
