Gervonta Davis was captured on camera having an intriguing face-to-face meeting with his former promoter, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The two men were present to witness David Benavidez’s triumph over Caleb Plant.
This was significant in light of what had happened previously. Davis is known for having tweeted negative comments about Leonard Ellerbe.
Thereafter, Davis confirmed that he was no longer under contract but emphasized that there were no ill feelings.
He has since then signed up to fight Ryan Garcia on April 22nd, 2023, which is expected to be the biggest event of his career.
Despite being associated with Al Haymon of PBC, there is no involvement of Floyd with Davis’ mega fight involving Garcia.
And the fighter’s recent exchange with Garcia on social media has added confusion to their supposed good relationship.
The fighter posted a tweet, which has since been removed, which took aim at Floyd.

With that being said, the Benavidez-Plant event was captured on video from backstage, showing the two individuals encountering each other.
It seems that both parties were open to having a conversation to resolve their issues. As such, the boxing community had a lot to say about the incident.
“Davis wasn’t even looking at him in the eyes lol,”
“Hilarious the way the squared up,”
“Gervonta should’ve uppercut him and sent him to the shadow realm,”
