Gervonta Davis Faces Backlash For Posing With Money Following His Jail Release
Gervonta Davis was recently released from prison after serving 44 days for violating the terms of his house arrest.
Davis had been sentenced to 90 days of house arrest at his trainer Calvin Ford’s house after pleading guilty to charges related to a hit-and-run incident in November 2020.
While under house arrest, Davis reportedly stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel, which led to his arrest due to the breach of the terms.
However, upon his release, Davis was seen in a photo holding piles of cash, which caused controversy and sparked criticism.

This was particularly since it came across as insensitive in light of the recent jail time. In addition, it drew parallels with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The latter is known for his lavish lifestyle, both during his boxing career and in his retirement.
Not only that, but Mayweather also served time behind bars for 90 days after he pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges.
As such, the boxing community had a lot to say about the matter.
