Gervonta Davis Issues Guilty Plea In Hit-And-Run Case
court hearing scheduled for May 5th
Gervonta Davis has admitted his guilt to four allegations stemming from a hit-and-run incident in his hometown of Baltimore in November 2020.
Davis allegedly drove a 2020 Lamborghini Uris SUV through a red light, crashing into the passenger side of a 2004 Toyota Solara, and fled the scene.
Four people were reportedly transported to the hospital to receive medical care for their injuries, and Davis was subsequently charged with 14 traffic offenses.
The American boxer could receive a prison sentence due to this event. However, a court hearing has been scheduled for May 5th, 2023, and if finalized, he could still go ahead with a potential battle against Ryan Garcia in April.

In addition to the vehicular incident in Baltimore, Davis is also due to appear in a court in South Florida on February 23rd, 2023 to answer a misdemeanor domestic violence charge to which he has entered a plea of not guilty.
Vanessa Posso, the mother of one of his children, alleged that he had hit her during an incident. Davis was taken into custody and spent a night in jail.
After that, however, she retracted her story, which meant the case will likely be dismissed. As long as Tank comes out of this without jail time, then there should be nothing to stop the Garcia fight.
