Due to the most recent domestic violence accusations filed against Gervonta Davis, his exhibition against Jake Paul, scheduled for November 14 in Miami, is reportedly in danger of being canceled with some reports suggesting it has already been called off.
Earlier this week, the news broke that Davis was being sued by an ex-girlfriend, as a result of multiple alleged assaults, with the most recent being on October 27. With legal troubles once again looming over his boxing career, many assumed the worst that he might be out of his high-profile match with Paul, and now those assumptions may be a reality.
Now with Jake Paul’s big payday at stake, he is scrambling to try and find a replacement to save his exhibition. Reports indicate that Paul’s team had sent Ryan Garcia an offer to be Tank’s replacement, but Ryan fighting Paul has been shut down by Oscar De La Hoya due to Ryan’s contractual obligations, including a possible world title fight against WBC Welterweight Champion Mario Barrios. It’s going to be near impossible for Paul to find a suitable replacement that equals Gervonta Davis, but he is in desperation mode.
🚨 The Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis fight is turning into a complete and utter disaster and failure:

“So I wake up to calls from reporters asking me about Jake Paul and Ryan Garcia. Let me just tell you why this fight isn’t going to happen. Ryan Garcia fights for DAZN and Jake Paul fights on Netflix. I mean, that’s pretty much the bottom like. Golden Boy has a contract with DAZN, Ryan Garcia has a contract with Golden Boy, and that’s just the way it is. This is business.
“Ryan Garcia is probably going to go on a rant saying ‘oh, you’re keeping me from making money’ and this and that and fighting. No. You have to go by the law, by the rules. You have a contract with DAZN, you have a contract with Golden Boy. It just doesn’t happen that way. Ryan Garcia’s next fight will be announced, by me, who he’s fighting and when he’s fighting next,” De La Hoya said
