Gervonta “Tank” Davis has given a hint on his return to the ring.
Davis announced the news on Instagram with one word: “December.”
Davis has not fought since a TKO victory over Rolando Romero on May 28 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Baltimore-native holds a 92.59% knockout rate and has yet to taste defeat in all of his 27 pro career fights.
Lightweight social media star Ryan Garcia has made it clear that he wants to fight Davis next. Ahead of his previous fight with Javier Fortuna – which he won – he continuously expressed his desire to face “Tank” in the ring.
But Garcia told FIGHT SPORTS during a virtual press conference that he isn’t “desperate” to fight Davis, but is “hungry” to show the boxing world that he can overcome Davis.
Before Davis went toe-to-toe with Romero, he met Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz in December and won by unanimous decision, which was Davis’ first decision win in years.
Cruz recently told Boxing Scene that he wants a rematch with Davis.
Some fans argued that Cruz was robbed of a victory in their December matchup.
There has yet to be a report of who Davis’ next opponent will be.
