Gervonta Davis-Rolando Romero Fight Expected To Go Down This December
Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero are likely to face off in December.
With Floyd Mayweather Jr. pushing for an in-house fight for some time, Romero said he would love to share the octagon with the former three-division world champion. Both boxers belong to Mayweather Promotions and fight on Showtime.
This is the perfect opportunity for Rolly to raise his stocks.
Not only he has the time to bag the biggest purse of his career, but Rolly can also make a case for himself as one of the best lightweights in the division if he beats the Tank.
In order to accomplish this, Romero needs to stick to his primary weapon – sublime punching power. With the size and strength of a welterweight, Romero can pull off an upset.
He has already confirmed on Instagram that he will face Davis next. The 25-year-old American has been calling out the Tank since August.
A few other fighters have been looking to share the ring with Rolly, but the boxer himself has always had his eyes on the prized fight against Davis.
In a separate development, the WBA “Super World” 135-lb title is up for grabs after Davis vacated it. The Tank now dons the WBA 135 and 140-lb “regular” straps.
