Gervonta Davis Wants The Devin Haney Fight

Gervonta Davis wants to box Devin Haney before he retires.

Davis was linked with the Haney fight when they were both at 135 pounds. Haney became undisputed before vacating to move up to 140. That made a fight less likely since Davis has only boxed once at 140 when he stopped Mario Barrios. But Barrios had a rehydration clause, something Haney has said he would not agree to if he fought Tank.

Haney showed in the Regis Prograis fight that he is much bigger than 140, having rehydrated to 160. But Tank’s following comments suggest he may have seen something in Haney’s fight with Ryan Garcia where the latter dropped him several times. Tank is now willing to make that fight.

“I would definitely be open to fighting Devin for sure, but he’s got to redeem himself. If he looks good in his next fight, or if the fight don’t go good, or even if he looks good against Ryan too and he don’t get the win, I feel it would still be a good fight to have. Even the buildup since we were younger and coming into the game. It was back and forth. I think it would still be a good fight between me and Devin,” Davis said
