GGG Receives Offer From DAZN
It seems Eddie Hearn flew to Los Angeles not to meet with Deontay Wilder, but to meet with Gennady Golovkin.
Golovkin had a four hour meeting on Tuesday with the Matchroom Boxing promoter and DAZN executive chairman John Skipper.
Initially reported by ESPN, Golovkin was given the chance to look at DAZN’s “best offer” for the former middleweight champion’s services. Golovkin has also received an offer from ESPN through their deal with Top Rank, as well as sitting down with Premier Boxing Champions officials prior to the Deotnay Wilder-Tyson Fury fight, with a deal in play for Showtime or FOX.
Skipper would fly from Tokyo on Monday to Los Angeles to meet with Golovkin and Hearn, but immediately flew back to Tokyo to finish business. During the meeting, sources told ESPN that Hearn laid out what he envisioned as the plan for Golovkin’s next few fights.
Golovkin is expected to make his decision before the end of 2018.
