GLORY 52 Card Reshuffled: Thomas Out With Injury
March 31st’s GLORY 52 card has been reshuffled on Friday, as the planned middleweight contender tournament has been cancelled.
In a press release sent out on Friday, Middleweight contender Robert Thomas has been pulled from GLORY 52 due to suffering a concussion during training. And while the contender’s tournament is scrapped, all remaining fighters have been re-booked for the event set for Long Beach.
Former two time GLORY middleweight champion Simon Marcus will now meet Zack Wells in the GLORY 52 co-headliner, while Yousri Belagaroui and Jason Wilnis, who were originally booked for the evening, have been placed against one another at GLORY 53 SuperFight Series on MAy 12th.
Two bouts from GLORY 52 SuperFight Series have been moved to GLORY 52 Los Angeles, making up the remainder of the four-fight card.
After an impressive debut in December at GLORY’s event in New York, Chris Camozzi returns to face Mike Lemaire in a middleweight battle.
Rounding out the card is a lightweight faceoff between Stoyan Koprivlenski and Josh Jauncey.
