GLORY 67: Petch Returns As Asa Aims For A Title Shot

On Friday, July 5th, GLORY Kickboxing makes their return to the state of Florida, as part of the 2019 ISKA US Open in Orlando, Florida.

Headlining the main GLORY 67 card is a featherweight title showdown between defending champion Petch Kiatmookao and Anvad Boynazarov.

Petch is looking for his seventh straight win inside the GLORY ring since taking his last loss to former featherweight champion Robin Van Roosmalen at GLORY 41 in 2017. Since that loss, Petch has become one of the organization’s most dominant performers, gaining full control of the featherweight crown and revenge against Van Roosmalen at GLORY 59 in 2018.

Boynazarov is riding a two-fight win streak into Orlando, having last lost to fellow GLORY 67 competitor Serhii Adamchuk in 2018, going the distance in both wins at GLORY 58 and GLORY 64.

In the co-main event, Asa Ten Pow looks to stay unbeaten in the GLORY ring against Houssam El Kasri, in what amounts to being a title eliminator to face the winner of Petch-Boynazarov.

Ten Pow is 4-0 since joining the organization in 2018 and last seen in February, with a unanimous decision at GLORY 63 in Houston.

Conversely, El Kasri had a two fight winning streak halted in his last GLORY appearance in November, suffering a first round stoppage loss to Abraham Vidales. A win for El Kasri can turn the tide for his career, and completely divert a huge fight between Ten Pow and Petch later this year or in early 2020.
