GLORY 68: Pereira Makes History with Interim Title Win
History was made at GLORY 68 in Miami, Florida, as Alex Pereira defeated Donegi Abena to win the interim GLORY light heavyweight championship.
With the win, Pereira, who is also GLORY’s middleweight champion, became the first GLORY fighter to simultaneously hold titles in two different weight classes.
Pereira put on an absolutely dominating performance against Abena, who some felt could have gotten the nod in his previous title fight with champ Artem Vakhitov. Pereira put away Abena and became champ-champ in the third round with a vicious left hook.
