GLORY: Collision 2 Live Results

One of kickboxing’s most highly anticipated rematches takes place today, as GLORY heavyweight champion and franchise player Rico Verhoeven and kickboxing’s bad boy Badr Hari run it back — this time with the championship on the line at the Gelredome in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

The two faced off in the main event of the original GLORY: Collision event three years ago, with Verhoeven winning the non-title contest after Hari suffered an arm injury in the second round.

Since then, Verhoeven has continued his current, dominant 11-fight win streak (17-fight win streak in GLORY). After besting Ismael Lazaar and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, Verhoeven retained the heavyweight title against Jamal Ben Saddik at GLORY: Redemption, against Mladen Brestovac at GLORY 54 and against Guto Inocente at GLORY 59.

Hari has had just one fight since the loss to Verhoeven, facing Hesdy Gerges in another rematch at GLORY 51. Hari originally won the March 2018 fight by unanimous decision, but both fighters failed drug tests and the bout was overturned to a No Contest. In April 2019, it was reported Hari was suspended for 19 months, backtracked to March 2018, for the failed test.
