Golovkin-Jacobs Purses: GGG Earns $2.5 Mil, Jacobs $1.75 Mil

Danny Jacobs is earning the biggest payday of his career on Saturday night when he takes on undefeated middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. The Brooklyn-born boxer will earn a purse of $1.75 million for the HBO main event, while Golovkin will receive a purse of $2.5 million.

The purses of both fighters were reported by ESPN’s Dan Rafael following the weigh-ins on Friday.

The undercard of the HBO pay-per-view show features the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, who defends his title against WBC super-flyweight title against Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.

Chocolatito will earn a disclosed purse of $550,000 while Rungvisai will earn $75,000.
