Greco-Roman Wrestling Day 3 Results
The final two gold medals in Greco-Roman wrestling were handed out on Tuesday, as Davor Stefanek of Serbia won the gold at 66kg, while Artur Aleksanyan of Armenia was the winner in the 98kg category.
Stefanek defeated Migran Arutyunyan of Armenia in the 66kg gold medal match, while Aleksanyan defeated Cuba’s Yasmany Daniel Lugo Cabrera for the gold at 98kg.
Shmagi Bolkvadze of Georgia and Azerbaijani Rasul Chunayev were the winners of the 66kg bronze medals. They, respectively, defeated Tomohiro Inoue of Japan and Hansu Ryu of South Korea. The 98kg bronze medals went to Cenk Ildem of Turkey and Ghasem Gholamreza Rezaei of Iran. They, respectively, bested Alin Alexuc Ciurariu of Romania and Carl Fredrik Stefan Schoen of Sweden.
These were the final medals handed out in the Greco-Roman style at Rio 2016. Freestyle wrestling now takes over the Olympics.
