Greg Hardy, a former heavyweight in the UFC, will make his bare-knuckle boxing debut on February 17 at KnuckleMania 3 for Bare Knuckle FC.
Hardy’s opening match in the BKFC cage will be against Josh Watson. The news of Hardy’s debut was revealed by BKFC president Dave Feldman during the KnuckleMania 3 pre-fight press conference.
For KnuckleMania 3, Hardy v. Watson joins a strong field of competitors. Additionally, Diego Sanchez will make his BKFC debut, and a title bout between Lorenzo Hunt and Mike Richman is included.
Last October, Hardy made his professional boxing debut against Mike Cook and knocked him out in the second round. In his second bout, he beat Hasim Rahman Jr. in a unanimous decision as a result.
Hardy had three consecutive defeats in the UFC before leaving the organization. He won matches in the UFC against fighters like Juan Adams and Maurice Greene after switching from the NFL to MMA.
