Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Vincent Astrolabio Looking Good For February 26

It is highly likely that Philippines’ Vincent “Asero” Astrolabio (16-3, 12 KOs) will soon be asked to take on former world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (20-2, 13 KOs).

Dubai seems to the probable host for their showdown. If both parties agree, we could see them trade haymakers on Saturday, February 26.

This will be a big chance for Astrolabio, 24, to get away with the win and raise his stocks.

He has spent his last few years training in the Manny Pacquiao Boxing Gym under Nonoy Neri. His longtime coach is confident that Asero can overwhelm the complicated southpaw veteran.

“Astrolabio is much younger, has a power punch and a big heart,” Neri asserted. He has had the honor of working with Freddie Roach and Buboy Fernandez to help train Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao.

Rigondeaux rose to fame over nine years ago when he outboxed Nonito Donaire.

He stunned the boxing community back then with his skills, but time has now changed. He’s 41 and fighting an opponent 17 years younger than him.

He has the experience on his side, but his agility and reflexes have the fans dubious of his best performance inside the ring.
