Gustafsson: I Can Knock Out Jones Even “On Rocket Fuel”

Alexander Gustafsson is fully confident that he can beat Jon Jones, regardless if the former champion is clean or not.

Gustafsson took to Twitter to react to the news that USADA reported an atypical result from a drug test from December 9 with the result showing traces of the same long-term M3 metabolite that Jones tested positive back in the summer of 2017. The news prompted UFC to change the UFC 232 show from Las Vegas to California to The Forum, where Jones will be able to fight.

The fight between the two light heavyweight stars for the division’s vacant title is set to close the show and is a rematch from their 2013 encounter that saw Jones come out on top.

Despite the change in venue, the rest of the event remains intact with Cris Cyborg facing Amanda Nunes in the co-main event for the UFC women’s featherweight title. Also on the card is a welterweight bout between Carlos Condit and Michael Chiesa as well as Corey Anderson and Chad Mendes competing in separate fights on the card.
